As the New Year begins, I work with both digital and film photography, consistently using the 35 mm format. My focus lies in capturing streetscape, seascape and landscape images across public spaces- whether in bustling cities, tranquil parks, dense woodlands or along the ever-changing coastline. I’m particularly drawn to spaces that evoke a sense of stillness or carry a unique mood or atmosphere.
Another key theme in my work is architecture marked by time- abandoned buildings, neglected spaces or structures that still echo their faded grandeur. This passion led me to continue my on-going project ‘Vanishing Malta’ during the Summer of 2024.
Reflections also captivate me, whether found in water, glass, or other reflective surfaces. These fleeting moments of mirrored reality add layers of intrigue and complexity to my images.
My favourite B&W film continues to be 35mm Ilford Delta 100 and 400 using my second hand Canon cameras. In my digital work, I use Canon and Fuji mirrorless cameras.
