My Digital and Film Photography

In my digital and film photography I continue to work in 35 mm digital and film formats.  I capture streetscape, seascape and landscape images in public spaces in cities, parks and woodlands and by the sea.   Spaces that draw my attention are those that give me a sense of quiet and/or those that create mood or atmosphere.

A further preoccupation are buildings that have seen better days. These include  abandoned or neglected buildings or those just showing their faded glory.  I continued a project in Malta during the Summer of 2023 with this end in mind – ‘Vanishing Malta’.   Images from this latest batch will be posted soon.

Also of interest  are the reflections in water,  glass, or other reflective surfaces.

My favourite B&W film at the moment is 35mm Ilford Delta 100 and 400 ISO using Canon cameras.  In my digital work, I now use Canon and Fuji mirrorless cameras.

I continue to go  to John Gunn’s camera shop to have my film developed and I’m scanning the results into the computer.  My days in a physical darkroom are now over although I enjoyed the experience for the most part.
